CSUN’s Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science prepares you to move beyond understanding AI and data to apply them to real-world challenges. Through a curriculum focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science and advanced analytics, you’ll develop the technical expertise and practical skills to build intelligent solutions, make data-informed decisions and create meaningful impact across industries.

Designed for a rapidly evolving field, the program prepares you to grow as both a technical professional and a leader—ready to apply emerging technologies to solve complex problems and shape what comes next.

As industries become increasingly data-driven, the ability to turn data into useful information is essential across various domains. As data volumes continue to grow, there is a significant gap between the demand for data professionals and their availability. A 2019 KPMG survey of 3,600 CEOs and technology executives revealed that 67% reported struggling with skill shortages, with big data/analytics, security and artificial intelligence identified as the three scarcest skills.
